I'm Jewish, and even though those who have died in Israel are my brothers & sisters, I cannot forgive Israel for the slaughter of so many innocent Palestinians. I can't condone Hamas' actions either, but I fully understand why they've been pushed to take such action.

Fuck Israel - it makes me ashamed to be Jewish.

.. doesn't sound too bad to me - even though you could do the same without using a flag to symbolize israel, me thinks.

i with these fighting brothers, the sons and daughters of Abraham, to come to peace with each other, having more in common than what is there to divide them.

I feel as though I should let you know that any impact what you're trying to say might have is being lost due to your poor grasp of the English language - I'm not sure if you're wishing me ill-health or warning me that being a bitter little troll will eventually make me sick.

In any case, have fun with your complaining and being insulted and whatnot.

Note how it's always the people who butt into month old conversations in which they are not involved who are always the first to cry it - trolling is a matter of perspective. I can't help it if you're overly sensitive :)

unfortunately beyond the virtual irrelevance can not offer you anything here.
I regret that the Internet is seen as a means for trolls.

It's interesting that you think I'm excited, rather than just, say... amused. But I mean, if being amused at people like yourself means that I'm a pathetic internet kiddie, I'll take that gladly. Better to be that than to be someone like yourself :)

Yes, and I wasn't exactly talking to you - although it is good that you decided I needed convincing because by talking to you I'm more convinced that Israel is the one to support.

i have read what u had to say, but if i do recall .. you said to convince you other wise.. and i just don't have the patients to argue, i'm sending the links to just give you the history which is needed since before you said something about Palestine choosing land over peace in the camp David summit.
but the camp David summit was in 2000 while the Partition Plan was held in 1947 before the 1948 establishment of Israel.. i just think some of your facts are getting mixed up, and that the link might help you to get things straight... my link is unnecessary? im not so sure about that.

I don't think you've really been listening to what I've been saying about just why I've been supporting Israel. Your links are unnecessary, but thanks anyway.

well, heres the history and conflict [link]

and i think you should read the article David Icke wrote called "Time to tell the truth about Israel". It will really give you a whole other look at what Israel is doing.

I can understand why Israel would do that; to them Israel is the ancestral home of the Jews. To them they're just bringing people home.

I say that religion is important because it was the basis for the entire conflict; originally it was about religion, not land - it evolved into a conflict over land from the religious differences - rights to parts of Jerusalem, holy sites, etc.

i don't expect you to understand that feeling
Don't mistake empathy for sympathy. Just because I don't particularly care doesn't mean I don't understand why others do.
As for saying I support the government and not the people; a government is in place to give a unified voice to a peoples. I can't say I support the people, because I don't actually know if that's what the people want, can I? There will always be people who want different things, so I can't know all of their intentions. I can know the intentions of the government, so I can support what they say. So, the comment on the lesser of two evils.

It the Israeli government who's paying Jews from all over the world to come and live in Israel, even when they aren't Israeli. I don't understand why your bringing religion into this.. And like i said before not all Palestinian are Muslims, my moms side of the family is all Christian.

I wish that you wouldn't let the leaders be the ones who's side you pick.. its like me saying i don't like all Israelis or Jews just because of what their government did, NOT them..

But u see.. its hard to choose peace, when so many lives have already been lost.. i don't expect you to understand that feeling but its very hard to try and make things better when they have made things already terrible.

Anyways, i think you have your reasons for why you support Israel and not Palestine.. and I think you have some interesting points, but i support Palestinians, not the Palestinian government or leader.

I'm glad we could keep this debate very mature, rather than swearing at each other.. and i think that at the end of the day, we both want the same thing which is Peace for both Israel and Palestine.

I picked a side because the essential difference between the two opposing factions is that of religion; I can not side with Islam because I find a good deal of the practices upheld as being fundamental to the faith itself to be anathema. Or more correctly, the specific 'brand' of Islam practiced by Hamas - I know a few muslims here in Australia who find what Hamas preaches to be disgusting, as I do.

And, like I said before about the reversal of roles - you speak of the misfortune and suffering of the Palestinian people now, but what about the the suffering inflicted upon the Israeli people by the Palestinians in the past? I don't accept 'our suffering is greater' as an argument for why I should support a country, especially not when that country has expressly said they will annihilate the other.

If I recall, Palestine had a chance for Land and Peace in the Camp David summit - and they passed it by when they refused to make a counter offer to the Israeli's proposal. If they were so intent on peace, they would have made an offer.
